Cynthia Pope is the host of “Entre Nous,” a new genre of cablevision information talk shows. Entre Nous, a French phrase translated into English means “between us,” and her show, which features interviews and commentaries with renowned African-American celebrities in familiar settings, indisputably mirrors the theme. With more than 50 thirty-minute shows in its library, Entre Nous will enter its second year on February 9, 2008. Among the more than 125 African American “Living Legends,” Pope has interviewed over the past two years on “Entre Nous,” are Grammy Award winning singer, actress, author, and producer Natalie Cole and Historian and Editor Emeritus of Ebony Magazine Lerone Bennet Jr. “The program is a dream-come-true. This is something I've always wanted to do," said Pope, who speaks French. "I consider it truly a blessing to be able to bring this type of distinctive information and quality entertainment to my viewers." Pope recently was featured on KTLA TV’s “Cyber Center,” with Kurt Knutsson, and was the voice of “the Judge” in the Independent film “Choices,” directed by Michael Ricks. She also covered the BET 2007 Awards show. Her current projects include working with Bernard and Shirley Kinsey and the National Underground Freedom Center in Cincinnati Ohio. A CSU-Long Beach graduate, who earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Speech Communication while employed as a Customer Service Agent at United Airlines, Pope currently is enrolled at TSAW (Tasha Smith’s Actors Workshop) and is a member of the Black Journalist Association of Southern California. A long-time Los Angeles resident, Pope is a married mother of two children. She serves as an Elder at Bible Enrichment Fellowship International Church in Inglewood California, where Dr. Beverly “Bam” Crawford is her pastor.
